The issue of global warming and climate change Is becoming increasingly important as the impact of environmental changes is beginning to be felt with still greater effect all over the world. From an overall point of view the whole global environmental movement can be said to have started as a result of volunteer action, and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) is strongly involved in this movement.
December 08 Issue III
The UNV Nepal 2008 Retreat was held from 25 – 27 September at Hotel View Bhrikuti in Godavari, Kathmandu.
25 UNV volunteers participated in the retreat which had the purpose of facilitating capacity building/knowledge enhancement of the UNVs, brief the volunteers on the UNV corporate mandate and function as a platform for sharing experiences and concerns.
